Our Story

ELMO was officially found in Japan in 1921. The name ELMO was created by the English acronym Electric Light Machine Organization.
We have always strived to be on the cutting-edge of innovation and technology creation. With that in mind, our team worked tenaciously to release the first 16mm cine-projector in 1927 and the first overhead projector in 1969.
Always wanting to expand and excel further, ELMO USA was established in 1973, bringing ELMO to North America. In 1984, ELMO began its development of camera solutions releasing the first CCD video camera to the world; only to be followed by what ELMO is now best-known for, the first iconic document camera in 1988.
Since the first document camera's release, ELMO has continued to innovate and upgrade solutions as the need arises for our customers. Now we offer a complete ecosystem of AV and IT solutions across all industries - ever-evolving and ever-innovating.

Our Quality Policy

Based on the management philosophy of Techno Horizon Co., Ltd., and in order to continuously improve the conformity to requirements and the effectiveness of QMS, we establish our quality policy as follows.

1) Considering the improvement of customer satisfaction as the starting point of quality assurance, always strive to ensure quality from the customer's point of view.

2) Quality assurance aims at continuous quality improvement through continuous improvement activities.

3) Promptly seek out the root cause of quality defects and make essential improvements.

Each department shall ensure that all departments and personnel in its own department are thoroughly informed of this quality policy. In addition, this quality policy will be reviewed from time to time in order to maintain its appropriateness, and will be disclosed as required from outside the company or as otherwise necessary.
